Lets Talk: Pokemon X and Y

Hello, defenders of Pokemon. Lets talk about the game Pokemon fanatics are raving about:

Pokemon X and Y are coming out globally on October 12, 2013 for the 3DS. How exciting is that? Lets discuss what makes this game so unique other than the fact it's in 3D.

There are the new starter Pokemon: Froakie, Fenneken, and Chespin.

A new villain, Team Flare, who seem quite fashionable in their red leather. Hm.

A new region called the Kalos region.

 And, of course, new trainers.

This version of Pokemon doesn't shrink the characters into sprites, but uses the 3D to make the characters become actual forms. The characters can sit down and walk/run diagonally (everyone seems to be impressed with walking diagonal). Also, this game introduces a new type, the Fairy Type, which is made to be very effective against Dragon Types (so many memes...).

Now lets talk about some new features, starting with Pokemon Amie:

This new feature allows you to pet, feed and mimic your Pokemon to make them more friendly.

You can now customize your character:

Changing the skin tone is just one way. You can add accessories as well.

Nintendo has also added two new battling features to the game:

Horde battles: Where the trainer faces up to 5 same or different Pokemon.

Flying battles: Using a Pokemon that either flies or levitates activates the flying battles (both Pokemon must be flying or levitating).

Nintendo has switched up the running feature and added skates and now you can ride your Pokemon!

They've brought in a whole new collection of Pokemon as well, but the list is still growing.
